An anxiety inducing thrill ride filled with more truth-distorting twists than a fun house mirror.

“Trust No One” by Keri Beevis

A long, long time ago, you did a bad, bad thing… Now it’s time to pay

When Olivia Blake receives a note, she thinks someone is playing a prank, until she is lured to an empty house. When she witnesses a man burning to death, she realises that the threat is serious. The problem is, Olivia doesn’t know who is after her or why.

As she tries to uncover who is tormenting her, someone watches from the shadows; Someone who knows the truth about a tragic accident that happened years ago. Someone who won’t stop until every one of those involved has paid the ultimate price…

They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but this killer prefers to play with fire…

My Review

When she was fourteen, Olivia Blake survived a cottage fire while on a school trip. Her friend did not. Although tragic, the fire was ruled an accident, and Olivia moved on with her life. Now, over a decade later, she’s being stalked and terrorized by someone who claims to know what really happened that night — and is determined to make her and all involved pay. As her former classmates are burned to death one at a time, it’s clear whoever it is is coming for Olivia too.

With the help of her new boyfriend and the support of her best friend, she tries to figure out the identity of the killer before it’s too late. But her boyfriend and friend have secrets of their own that make her doubt their motives. Petrified and paranoid, Olivia only knows one thing as her torment intensifies. She can trust no one.

An anxiety inducing thrill ride filled with more truth-distorting twists than a fun house mirror, “Trust No One” by Keri Beevis is a crime thriller that will keep you at your wit’s end. Be prepared to clench your gluteus maximus and wipe your sweaty palms on the legs of your pants as you read.

This book has everything it needs to keep you on the edge of your seat. A fast moving plot that barely slows down to take a breath. Main characters that you like, but don’t quite trust. And plenty of the stuff that makes your neck hairs stand on end and your spidey senses tingle. Olivia’s fear is palpable. The suspense is intense and heart-pounding. By the end, you’re as exhilarated as you are jumpy from some terrifying scenes.

Just be warned. There are a few points in the book where you’ll think you’ve figured out the identity of the killer. Eventually, you probably will. Just remember the fun that comes with reading a thriller isn’t solving the mystery. It’s the big bang of a twist that always lurks toward the end. “Trust No One” is good all the way through, but the big twist that comes toward the end? KABLOOEY! It’s stunning!
